Characters
Series characters will be presented here as quick reference as they are introduced in the story.

Bracken of Sadbh-Oisin

male Fia (turned human), titled “Trickster” and “Bracken the Lost”

Bracken thought he was sacrificing his life the day he and Tierney finally ran from the humans they had protected. What happened was far worse, stealing his magic and making him fully human-a curse that carried to his unborn son.

Resentful and melancholic, Bracken must now make a life among humans, finding friends in unlikely places, and making as many foes. The separation from Tierney and Liam weighs on him, as does the loss of his magic. Given up for dead by the Fia, he is now called “the Lost.” He is voiced by N. K. Schlaudecker

Tierney of Sadbh-Sianach

female Fia, titled “Journeyman”.

Tierney stood out as a powerful magic user before she came of age. Among the Fia (shapeshifting faeries who take on the forms of deer), adolescents meet with their first ancestor to be tested and assigned a role. Tierney earned the title “Journeyman”- there are only three at any given time, and they learn something of all skills. In her youth, she set out on quests to the human world with Bracken (a Trickster) who eventually became her husband. But even her skill could not protect her family from the rise of the Shattered God, and she lost Bracken.

She returned to the Otherworld, her faith dashed, to become the right hand of Tara, the Earth Worthy. Her sorrows are many, and encompass deep loss. Both her husband and her son are victims of the Shattered God’s curse, and Liam’s existence treads a fine line between the realms of Mortals and Fey.

She is voiced by Stephanie Evers-Ard

Sloan

human, male (mid 30s-early 50s), Village headman of Darach

Sloan grew up in the mining and farming community of Darach. Inland from the coast, the village boasted rich mines and fertile fields, and for many centuries, was protected by faery guardians sent by Tara with her blessing. It is also home to one of the large, stone rings used to cross between worlds.

He, however, fell victim to the whispers of the Shattered God as illness swept his home, claiming his young daughter. It seemed the faeries did nothing to help, and he set out to avenge his child on the people he’d once thought of as friends- Bracken and Tierney- hoping to punish them for their perceived callousness. He is voiced by JT McClanahan.

Tara

Elemental Worthy, "Earth Mother",

Tara is, perhaps, the oldest of the Worthies, the embodied spirit of Earth, she lives the cycle of life every year, dying on the eve of Spring, resurrecting at dawn as a newborn. She is partnered with the Hunter, and the human realm is named for her.

Gentle and wise, she sees the rise of the Shattered God, and has set subtle plans in motion to slow the cult's progress.

She adopts Liam, to raise him in the shelter of her keep in the Otherworld, safe and hidden from faeries and men. She is voiced by Alice Dennis.

Liam of Sadbh-Sianach

half-Fia, half human, male, (infant-13 years old)

Liam was born to Tierney and Bracken shortly after Bracken fell victim to a curse that stripped his magic and made him human. The curse carried to Liam, stealing part of his magic, as well. Taken in by Tara when he was just a few hours old, he was raised in the safety of her keep, under her protection, and Grunlich's watchful eye.

Called a "Son of Two Worlds", he struggles to find his place in either.

He is voiced by Elizabeth Smith (baby) and Shari Prestwood (teen)

Windswift

rabbit, male, created by Tara as a companion for Bracken

Windswift was spun into life on Liam's birthday, by Tara's will and magic. Intended as a messenger between Bracken and Tierney, , since Bracken was no longer able to cross through the faery rings to go home. He is small and sassy, a dedicated friend who is just subtle enough to hide in plain sight.

He is voiced by Amber Walker.

Dominic

Half Dryad, half human, male (late 20s-early 40s), "Dom", Brother Dominic, agent of Tara within the Shattered God cult.

Dominic is the son of Orla, Queen of the Oak Dryads, and a huntsman named Domhail of Saille, who gave his life trying to help the Drui when Loxias targeted them for extermination.

Dom was chosen by Tara to infiltrate the cult, and report back to her on his movements and advancements. As a master healer within the cult, he holds a position of relative respect, and uses it to carefully subvert Loxias when he can. This has also allowed him to protect his wife, a Rowan Dryad named Ianthe, who, with her grove, are kept prisoner by the cult.

He was sent to find Bracken and wrest him back from death's door. It leaves to be seen if this is the more difficult task.

He is voiced by Shari Prestwood.

Sloan

Sloan grew up in the mining and farming community of Darach. Capt. Iollan Marsh

human, male (late 40s), Shattered God Captain of the Healers' Guard

Iollan is a skeptic at his heart, doubting the power of otherworldly beings-and those who say they are. He was a farmer in Saille before the Drui were destroyed, and was involved in the attempt to spare them. As punishment, he was pressed into service for the cult-having to choose between his standards and the life of his only child.

He is voiced by Ashley Kuppersmith

Reginald "Reg"

human, male (early 30s), Member of the Healers' Guard

Reginald was born and raised south of Saille, where the Shattered God first gained a foothold. He is loyal to the cult and its leader, and as such, he fears the Worthies and the faeries, believing they stole his god's power. Nervous and easily unsettled, at least he's an extra pair of vigilant eyes on the road.

He is voiced by Jeff Blakeney

Margery "Mags" Rodach

human, female (late 30s), Owner of the Moorhen Tavern, wife to Hugh Rodach

Mags is a force of nature, all on her own. She is the owner of the Moorhen Tavern in Tinewald, wife of the Headman, Hugh Rodach, and a mother of four. She is descended from Travelers who settled in Tinewald.

Faithful to the Worthies, she brooks no foolishness from the Shattered God Cultists, and quickly makes it known when someone isn't welcome in her house. Once her loyalty is won, it's won forever.

She is voiced by Molly Laurendine

Hugh Rodach

human, male (early 40s), Village headman of Tinewald

Hugh is the headman of Tinewald village, husband to Margery, and a father of four. After a stint as a soldier in his early life, Hugh returned home to embrace his hereditary role when his father stepped down. Quiet and assured, he suffers no fools, and will say it plainly.

He is voiced by Trista Lackey

Jack Rodach

human, male (8)

Oldest son of Hugh and Mags Rodach, Jack is in line to be headman one day. He is also passionate about planting and growing, and is quite protective of his plants.

Old Duir

ancient Oak (at least 1000)

Old Duir is an ancient oak that stands just off the roadside between Darach and Tinewald. Its branches and roots are, at times, as thick as a tree a third of its age. It is rumored Duir's dryad merged with it permanently some centuries past, so as to better guard the forest.

Duir sheltered Bracken when he was at the verge of death, protecting him from the fierce winter storm, as well as restoring a last gasp of hope to the brokenhearted Fia.
