Greenman: Sons of Tara
About
Greenman: Sons of Tara is a full-cast audio performance of the book written by N. K. Schlaudecker. It tells the story of Liam, a boy born between worlds, and his father, Bracken, a faery cursed to become human, and their adventures trying to stop the Shattered God cult from destroying magic both in the mortal realm and the Otherworld.
The podcast began with the idea of producing a full cast audiobook, but as I planned the project, I remembered listening to radio show style presentations as a child (mostly of westerns on long car rides), and being fascinated and intrigued by that storytelling process. This went hand in hand with my early (and ongoing) desire to become a voice actor.
With the help of my fellow actors in the Commedia del Arte Traveling Players, and friends and contacts interested in performance and voice over, I began to script the books for this presentation.
Each book will be released as its own season, with 1-2 chapters forming each episode-and some will include bonus content not currently in the books!
Both titles are available on Amazon.com in print and e-book, and the third installment, Greenman: Sacred River is slated for release in early 2023, with at least one more book planned for the series.

Sons of Tara
Born half human, half faery, Liam could never be entirely part of either world, so Tara, the Spirit of the Earth, took him into her care. For thirteen years, he has lived in the safety of her keep in the Otherworld, learning what magic he can, sheltered from the harshness of the surrounding realms.
In the human world, his father, Bracken, faces a cult of madmen and their leader, Loxias.
The cult of the Shattered God is bent on destroying magic, going so far as to plot the capture of the four Elemental Worthies.
Liam's quest begins the night that Loxias breaks through one of the sacred henges, and uses stolen spells to trap Tara and claim her power for himself. Now he must find his father, rescue his mother, and find a way to free Tara before Loxias captures the rest of the Worthies and becomes a new and dangerous god.

Fyreborn
The Shattered God's determination to subdue the Elemental Worthies, and with them, the whole of the land, has only grown as he stretches his newfound power, pushing back against the Hunter's threat as he mounts his own offense on those who would stand in his way.
The gates to the Otherworld are closed, and Liam the half-blood, his cursed father, Bracken, and Siulta, a young Firesinger, priestess to the fire worshiping Travelers, have united in a quest to stop him, hoping to work out a way to free Tara from the false god's grasp.
Tinewald village shelters Liam and his companions for a time, until the Shattered God, Loxias, and his cult come, in the first bid to shake the faith of those still loyal to the Worthies. Liam must hide, or become a target as his magic begins to bud. He cannot hide forever.
